Filtration station is an advanced rainwater purification device and interactive installation that is created using a custom-designed ceramic filter combined with ultraviolet light technology. The system is designed to allow rainwater and other natural sources to be safely purified so that people can access potable water even in completely off-grid environments. The device’s interactive reservoir invites visitors to manually pour water into the system and allows them to actively engage in the purification process. The two-phase filtration system created by the ceramic component and UV light enables rigorous mechanical and biological purification of the water while also generating a unique, algorithmic soundscape as the drops hit built-in sensors. The flow of the water is clearly visible and audible, making it easy for users to monitor the process while experiencing it as a calming, meditative ritual.
